Though Torben and I have planned to take this adventure for at least seven years, I never realized the emotional turmoil it would cause when actually leaving.  I jokingly said I felt like Dorothy from the Wizard of Oz saying good bye to close friends and shaking hands as the boat pulled away!

We have a Lancer 36 "Magic Carpet" berthed at Richmond Yacht Club in SF Bay we both love to sail, fish and dive, Greg and Donna are retired, we spent the last five years getting the boat ready. Ready or not were cutting the dock lines this spring 2009 and going South along the Pacific Coast of California and Baja California, Sea of Cortez, Zihautenejo, Costa Rica, Ecuador, Galapagos Islands, Marquesses South Pacific Islands, Tahiti, New Caledonia, New Zealand, Australia, Micronesia, Hawaiian Islands, Alaska inland passage then Home

CAPRICE-  Dan and Carol Seifers blog reporting on their one year cruise from 
Australia to Point Richmond via New Zealand,  Tahiti, Hawaii, Alaska, San Juans
and arriving in Point Richmond in November of 2008. 
Various Club members will be joining them on various legs of the trip.
 
 


SUPRISE
-  Join Steve and Susan Chamberlin on their South Pacific adventure on Surprise.  Departed Mexico 3/07, winter layup in Raiatea.  Adventure restarts 4/08 heading for Cooks, Tonga, Fiji, and New Zealand.



 


PRETTY WOMAN -  Roger Pelz on his first open ocean and coastal cruising experience. The Story Of The Black Hand Crew was a major big deal for Roger and probably rates as the most exciting adventure he has ever had.
