The RYC Winter Junior Sailing School runs out of the RYC during the months of October – March and is designed to teach junior sailors, aged 8 – 18, to safely enjoy the activity of sailing. This school is unique to many junior sailing programs in that:
- It is designed to encourage the safe enjoyment of sailing for juniors of all ages and inclinations.
- It is accessible to a wide range of juniors at a reasonable expense. Instruction is given in avariety of boats to a variety of skill levels.
- The school enjoys the favorable learning conditions offered by the “Richmond Riviera”
- The school is run by volunteers and depends on the commitment of participating parents
(NEW) In 2009/2010, all sailors are asked to bring their own (easily identifiable) lunch to each class, in the event that we are unable to find a volunteer to manage this year's hot lunch program. Beverages will be provided by the program.
To learn more about the Junior Sailing School, read the attached “Program Overview” (Click Here).
